DayStock is an innovative app that manages inventory by "days remaining." By setting daily consumption rates, it automatically calculates "how many days of stock you have left" and automatically deducts elapsed days' worth of inventory every time you open the app.
1. Tap the "+" button on the main screen
2. Enter the item name
3. Enter the current stock quantity
4. Enter daily consumption rate
5. Set default refill amount (amount you typically buy in one shopping trip)
6. Tap "Save" to complete
• "Refill" button: Adds the default refill amount to current stock
• "Refill All" button: Bulk refills all items at once
• In Stock mode: Use "+" and "-" buttons for fine adjustments
• Tap an item to open the detailed edit screen
• Swipe to reveal delete menu
• Use the segment control at the top to switch display modes
• "Days" mode: Shows "X days left" for remaining days
• "Stock" mode: Shows "Stock X" for specific quantities
• Button layout optimizes for each mode
• Every time you open the app, it calculates days elapsed since last use
• Elapsed days × Daily consumption = Automatically deducted from stock
• Example: Eggs with 2/day consumption, open app after 3 days → 6 eggs deducted
• This feature ensures you always have real-time stock status
• Simple: Clean one-line display
• Detailed: Shows more detailed information
• Floor: Round down remaining days (default)
• Ceil: Round up remaining days
• Round: Standard rounding of remaining days
• Raw: Show exact decimal (to 1 decimal place)
• Yellow warning: Display in yellow when days remaining ≤ this value (default: 3 days)
• Red warning: Display in red when days remaining ≤ this value (default: 1 day)
A: All data is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers.
A: With 0 consumption, no automatic deduction occurs and remaining days shows "No consumption."
A: When the app launches and finds items out of stock, it will notify you (if notifications are enabled).
A: Yes. It calculates days based on midnight crossings, so it accurately tracks elapsed days regardless of what time you open the app.
